This shader pack contains two simple volumetric shaders :
A 3d solid texture rendering shader (iso-surface extraction)
A participating media shader (smoke, fog - no photon mapping support yet)
These shaders can be combined. For example, you can put a 3d solid texture into one or more participating media volumes. Multiple participating media will blend.
Shadow casting is correctly handled in most cases.
