This shader pack contains a displacement shader generating offshore ocean surface aspect, and foam, from physical parameters such as wind speed, swell amount, etc...
Our model is based on physical oceanography, giving us realistic wave animation and look. It's not based on Jerry Tessendorf's method.
A surface shader is bundled with the displacement shader. This material is designed to be used in conjunction with the displacement shader. It simulates light absorption under different lighting conditions. It also handle caustics.
A real time viewport deformer plugin for 3ds Max and Maya is also bundled. It can be used for previsualization purposes, but also directly to represent the ocean surface.
If you don't need mental ray for rendering, we also provide a native texture node plugin for Maya.
